The French House has approved the law raising retirement age from 60 to 62 with 329 ays and 233 nos. The law, which was drafted by Nicolas Sarkozy, was strongly opposed by the Left, while trade-unions have already organised many protest rallies in view of the vote in the Senate on September 23.
