About 30,000 people are trapped by floods in north-east China with a serious emergency in Wuhan. Here thousands have been evacuated fearing flooding from the River Yangtze. The situation is even more serious in Kouqian, in the Jilin region. There are about eighty people unable to leave the station. Farms and homes are entirely under the water that is now three metres high.
