ADIDAS FOOTBALL SALES 1.5 BLN DUE TO WORLD CUP

Adidas estimates that its sales of football related articles will be worth almost 1,5 billion euro this year. This is due to the World Cup effect. Adidas is the technical sponsor of 12 teams in the competition, including Germany, Argentina, Spain, France and the host nation, South Africa.

The German group also makes the controversial Jabulani ball, which may have played a part in some of the tournament’s goalkeeping howlers.
