Managing Director of BP, Tony Hayward, has withdrawn from an oil industry conference in London. Hayward was due to speak at the World National Oil Companies Congress.
A spokesman explained that the withdrawal was due to Hayward’s commitments regarding the Gulf of Mexico oil spill. He will be replaced by one of his team, Steve Westwell.
