The Afghan electoral commission has disallowed 1,3 million votes out of 5,6 million cast in the last parliamentary election. Head of the electoral commission, Fazil Ahmad Manawi, said that “there were around 5.6 million votes, 4,265,347 of which were valid. There were about 1.3 million invalid votes.” The total of disallowed votes comes over 20% of votes cast in the election of 18 September.
