AIDS INFECTIONS DOUBLED IN GB AMONG THOSE OVER 50

Cases of aids have doubled in Great Britain among those over 50, states a report by the Health Protection Agency. In about one decade (2000-2007) cases of infection among people over 50 have doubled from 299 to 710. In 2008 out of 7,382 new diagnoses 8% were among people over 50.

According to the experts the spreading of AIDs is attributable to adults not undergoing testing and only discovering they are infected much later.
