The Amish community is expanding greatly in the USA, increasingly moving towards the west. In the past year, according to a report published by Elizabethtown College, Pennsylvania, the Protestant-Christian group has increased by 5%, from the 237,500 members present in 2009 to the current 249,500. At this rate the numbers will double by 2024. Migration has reached the states of Colorado, South Dakota and Montana.
