Apple has reportedly purchased Polar Rose, a Swedish company specialized in facial recognition. The news is revealed on several blogs dedicated to the Cupertino-based group. Neither the producer of iPhone nor the Scandinavian company, which employs less than 20 people, accepted to comment the news leak. The system makes it possible to rely on a PC webcam or smartphone to identify the people who have activated the function and display their contacts.
