Scotland Yard has arrested five Algerians in London who posed a potential threat to the Pope’s visit. The five men were arrested at 5.45 a.m. “suspected of the commission, preparation or instigation of acts of terrorism.” The Algerian men are respectively 26, 27, 36, 40 and 50 years-old and are now being questioned. No changes have been made to the Pope’s security and itinerary.
