Afghanistan is to tender an oil block in the north west of the country in July or August . According to Energy Minister, Wahidullah Shahrani, who made the announcement, next year a larger field in the Tajik basin will be put up for tender.
“We are going to tender the Kashkari oil block in the north west either in July or August,” he said, going on to say: “After that, next year we will tender a large oil block in the Afghan Tajik basin which is much bigger.”
