Washington – Over 20 countries have offered assistance to the US against the Gulf of Mexico environmental catastrophe. Initially, the State Department declined all offers (from miles of boons to oil-water separators), but the lengthening of the crisis has advised otherwise. Now Washington is actively pursuing foreign help. Belgium, the United Kingdom, Canada and Vietnam are among the offerers.
