The Russian carmaker Avtovaz is to bring out a new super-economic model costing 5,600 euros. Renault, its French partner, which holds a 25% stake in Avtovaz, broke the news. The new model will come onto the market in late 2011 and will probably be called the Lada Granta; it will be similar to the Renault Twingo.
