The Archbishop of Westminster said that no arguments were going to dog the Pope’s visit to the Britain. Speaking on Vatican Radio, Monsignor Vincent Nichols commented: “Benedict XVI is elegant and full of respect for everyone. I think that the English, Scottish and Welsh public will receive the Holy Father with an affection that is bound to increase during the visit.” The archbishop added: “The Holy Father is able to speak from his heart using very noble images and words.” Nichols concluded: “I believe that this will also be the case with us in England.”
