Bolivian-born, 23-year old Carlos Mamani, is the fourth miner to be rescued from the San Jose’ mine, in Atacama. Married and father of a 16-month baby girl, Mamani had only been working in the mine for 5 days when on the 5th of August the collapse took place that originated this unprecedented story of human endurance in the most adverse conditions imaginable. In the upcoming hours, the Bolivian miner will be greeted in person by the President of his Country Evo Morales, who confirmed his arrival in Copiapo’ today.
