CHILE: PRESIDENT PINERA, MINERS’ RESCUE “VERY NEAR”

The rescue of the 33 miners trapped underground could be “very near”. Chile’s president, Sebastian Pinera, stated that the rescuers are “very close” and that he believes the miners will be freed before his European trip on 17 October.
