A collision occurred between a Costa cruise ship and a Belgian merchant vessel near the port of Shanghai in China. A few passengers were slightly hurt in the accident that took place just before 5.00 am local time, three of whom were taken to Shanghai hospital for tests. The incident took place in the mouth of the Yangtze river, north east of Shanghai.
