EGYPT: FORMER FOREIGN MINISTER MAHER HAS DIED AGED 75

Egypt’s former Foreign Minister Ahmed Maher has died aged 75. Maher served as the country’s foreign minister from 2001 (soon after the 9/11 attacks) to 2004 replacing Amr Mussa who had been appointed as secretary-general of the Arab league.
