Dublin – Ireland has expelled an Israeli embassy staffer for having falsified the passports used by a Mossad hit team. The decision was taken at the conclusion of a police enquiry into the passports used in the assassination of Mahmoud al-Mabhouh. Israel called Dublin’s decision “improper” and “not in line with the importance of the relationship between the two countries” .
