The EU has issued a rapid alert on Russia’s cut to natural gas supplies to Belarus. The spokeswoman for Energy Commissioner Guenther Oettinger, Marlene Holzner, said that the European Union is satisfied that it was promptly informed about the decision, partly because it is not clear yet whether Europe itself will be affected.
