FINANCE: JAPAN NEARLY DOUBLES GDP GROWTH FORECAST

The Japanese government upwardly revised its GDP estimates for the year ending in March 2011. The Cabinet Office predicts that the economy will grow by 2.6% (up from +1.4%).

Japan hasn’t recorded a rise of more than 2% since 2006. The government predicts an increase of +2% for the financial year ending in March 2012.
