FINN TO HEAD EUROPEAN POLICE IN AFGHANISTAN

Helsinki – Finland’s Jukka Savolainen is to be the new head of the EU police mission to Afghanistan. Savolainen, the current deputy commander of the the country’s border guards and coast guards, replaces Denmark’s Kaj Vittrup, who resigned in March.
