FRANCE: STRIKES AGAINST PENSION REFORM HIT TRANSPORT

Transport is hiccuping along in France because of strikes against pension reform. The sectors worst hit by the demonstrations are the railways and the urban networks of a hundred or so cities. Air transport is also subject to considerable delays. The Civil Aviation Directorate-General has asked airlines to cancel a quarter of flights at the two Parisian airports, Charles de Gaulle and Orly.
