FRENCH POLICE CHIEF CONFIRMS HIGH RISK OF ATTACKS

In France there is a “high risk of attacks” and the government is “duly monitoring”, said police chief Frederic Pechenard, also head of national security, after they received warnings of a possible woman suicide bomber and after a suspect bag was found on high-speed railway tracks south of Paris. The bag eventually turned out to be no threat. “I don’t want to increase concern, but reliable sources told us that the risk of attacks is high”, Pechenard said on Radio Europa 1.
