General Electric invested over 5 billion dollars in green energy between 2005 and 2009. The figures are contained in the 2009 Ecoimagination annual report on the ecosustainable project launched by the Group in 2005. On the fifth anniversary of the initiative, the fact that targets have been met a year ahead of schedule, driven by the success achieved so far is a matter for celebration, along with a commitment to double investment .
