The German government has rejected a right of centre proposal to subject immigrants to an IQ test. The idea came from state spokesman for interior policy for the Berlin CDU, Peter Trapp, and the parliamentary leader of Bavaria’s CSU, Markus Ferber. The government reacted immediately, with spokesman Christoph Steegmans quickly rejecting the idea, which he said was “not particularly intelligent in itself”. .
