Finance minister George Papaconstantinou today ventured assessments that Greece’s GDP might score above forecasts. “There are some interesting and encouraging indicators that lead us to think think that this year’s results could prove slightly above forecasts”, the minister said at a conference in Berlin, today. Athens is currently placing 2010 growth at a negative 4pc. Papacostantinou also emphasised the government’s commitment to floating long term bonds “some time next year.” .
