The flu vaccine may reduce the risk of heart attack by one fifth, a UK study says. The study included more than 78,000 British patients – age 40 and older – and showed that those who had received the seasonal influenza vaccine were less likely to have a heart attack, in particular when the vaccination had been administered at the beginning of the season.
