U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton stated as much in the course of her visit to Kiev, during a meeting with Kostyantyn Gryshchenko. Ms Clinton is the highest ranking foreign politician to have gone on an official visit to Ukraine since Viktor Yanukovych’s election to the Presidency. The new President has distanced himself from predecessor Viktor Yuschenko’s pro-West approach, taking the country back to a cosier entente with Moscow.
