The trial of Geert Wilders, accused of inciting racial hatred, began today in Holland. The member of parliament risks a one year prison sentence or 7,600 euro fine for having compared the Koran to Adolf Hitler’s Mein Kampf and to have called Islam “fascist”. The verdict is expected on 4 November.
