New Zealand joins the list of Countries that have postponed their participation in the Commonwealth Games. The decision was taken after the succession of accidents and the lack of the most elementary hygiene and security standards in the facilities destined to host the athletes. The XIX Edition of the Games for the former British colonies is scheduled to open on the 3rd of October. Yesterday, a false ceiling collapsed in the main building, in the area that is destined to host the weight-lifting contests. Instead, on Monday a pedastrian overpass collapsed, causing injuries to some thirty people.
