Mahmoud Ahmadinejad wrote to Pope Benedict XVI to thank him for distancing himself from the plan to burn Qurans. This was the intention of an American Evangelist Pastor. The Iranian President also added the need for a “close collaboration” between religions to put a stop to materialism, “which is eroding human societies, especially families and young generations”.
