The son and the lawyer of Sakineh Mohammadi Ashtiani, the woman sentenced to death by stoning, have been arrested. The 43-year-old woman was convicted on charges of adultery and complicity in murder. Police arrested Sakineh’s 22-year-old son Sajjad Qaderzadeh and her lawyer Javid Hutan Kian, who, in the last few weeks, have been at the centre of an international campaign to save the woman .
