MOODY’S CUTS BP’S RATING TO AN “A2”
London – The international agency Moody’s has cut BP’s rating by three grades, bringing it to an “A2” from an “AA2”. All ratings are under constant observation for possible downgrading: BP’s is tied to the massive impact the catastrophe in the Gulf of Mexico will have on the group’s finances. The creation of a 20 billion dollar fund to cover damages was considered a “moderately positive” initiative.
