Natascha Kampusch, an Austrian girl imprisoned for eight years in a cellar by a man, has now published her memoirs. In “3,096 Days”, the title referring to the duration of her inferno, the 22-year-old speaks of her ordeal. She was beaten 200 times a week, obliged to sleep handcuffed to her kidnapper and obliged to do domestic work semi-naked.
