Ten volunteers canvassing for Afghan parliamentary elections are reported killed during a NATO air strike. The incident is reported as having occurred in Rustaq (Takhar province). Local authorities also report the injury of a further two persons. Those killed are reported as being volunteer campaigners for Abdul Wahed Khurasani. NATO clarifies that it is aware of the allegation and has opened an internal inquiry into the matter.
