NISSAN: PRODUCTION CAPACITY TO DOUBLE IN CHINA

Nissan intend to double its Chinese production, reaching 1,2 million cars by 2012. The plan aims to control 10% of the market. The Japanese Nissan, controlled at 44% by the French Renault, manages a joint venture with the Chinese Donfeng Motor. The latter has announced the grand opening a new SUV plant in the town of Zhengzhou, central China. Renault and Nissan CEO, Carlos Goshn attended the inauguration, but excluded any intention to buy General Motors .
