Super-typhoon Megi provoked the death of at least 5 persons, after violently sweeping over the Northern Philippines. The typhoon caused landslides in the mountain areas, uprooted the roofs of houses, raised sea storms and huge waves along the coasts. Schools have been closed and at least 3000 persons have been evacuated throughout he North of Luzon, the main island in the archipelago, which was alerted hours before the powerful typhoon made landfall. Dozens of persons have been injured and three million have suffered a blackout. .
