POPE WISHES HAPPY YOM KIPPUR TO ALL JEWS WORLD-WIDE

The Pope wished “the Jewish community in the UK and world-wide a happy and saint Yom Kippur”. Speaking yesterday in Edinburgh the Pope condemned “the Nazi tyranny wanting to eradicate God from society and denying our common humanity, especially for Jews who were not considered worthy of living.” Today in London he acknowledged Chief Rabbi Lord Sacks for his greeting and spoke after Muslim representative Khaled Azzam saying:”I wish to express my appreciation for the important testament you bring as spiritual men and women in times when when religious beliefs are not always understood.” .
