President Sarkozy has ordered police to clear picketers blocakding strategic fuel depots. The protest comes in response to Sarkozy’s vented pension reform plans. The French president also confirmed that the reform will be seen through and warned at the negative repercussions of striking at the present economic juncture. “If we don’t secure an end to these pickets, the disorders threaten the country’s employment and economy”, Sarkozy said today.
