Cardinal Sepe is not involved in the inquiry into the Trenitalia tenders, says Naples Procurator Lepore. “We have established that Cardinal Sepe does not play any part in our investigation into Trenitalia”, Lepore explained. Sepe had been named “in a bugged telephone conversation between two extraneous people, Sepe was not being tapped. This shows that, as he is not implicated in any sort of crime, his conduct has been absolutely correct”.
