According to Rome-based academics ‘Oetzi’, the mummified man found just off the Similaun peak in 1991, was a chief. Researchers at the Museo di Preistoria ed Etnologia in Rome and US colleagues published their conclusions on Antiquity, submitting Otzi was tributed with a burial ceremony worthy of a tribal chief.
