27 people were killed in road traffic accidents this weekend: one victim in three was aged under 30. 33 people were killed during the same weekend last year. The data has been posted by the Department for Public Safety, which says that 50% of fatal accidents were caused by loss of driver control, while 31% involved two-wheeled vehicles. There were 4 fatal accidents between 10pm and 6am, in which 5 people died. .
