The government is to levy an extraordinary 2% tax on banking foundations. This tax, contained in a PDL amendment to the budget reduction measures, will be in addition to income tax and IRAP (regional income tax). The tax will be applied to the assets of banking foundations for the tax years 2011, 2012 and 2013.
