S. KOREA: PRIME MINISTER RESIGNS OVER CORRUPTION SCANDAL

The South Korean prime minister nominee and other two ministers have resigned amid corruption allegations that jeopardized president Lee Myung-bak’s plan to redeem his party’s clout. Lee had appointed Kim Tae-ho prime minister at the beginning of August but after a fiery parliamentary meeting where the opposition questioned his eligibility and ethics, Kim decided to step down.
