Renato Schifani hopes that “a point of mediation can be reached with the Regions” on the austerity package. The Speaker of the Senate said that “they have asked me for a meeting, and obviously I will see them as soon as possible”.
In regard to possible amendments to the bill, he stressed “that is a matter for the government and for debate between the majority and the opposition”.
