Maracana stadium will be closed for repairs until December 2012, in preparation for the World Cup in Brazil. As of next Wednesday, the Rio de Janeiro stadium, a veritable soccer temple, will be closed to give it a facelift. Repairs are expected to cost somewhere in the vicinity of 312 million Euros.
