SOUTH AFRICA SPENDS 100 MLN USD TO PROMOTE TOURISM

South Africa invested 100 million USD over the space of four years to promote its tourism sector. According to Minister of Tourism Marthinus van Schalkwyk, “the total sum of investments in tourism campaigns launched between 2006-2009 reached 100 million Dollars; this enabled us to reach 1.9 billion people a month in the markets where there was an interest in said campaigns.” .
