SPAIN, ZAPATERO CONSIDERS CABINET RESHUFFLE

Spanish prime minister Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapatero is considering a cabinet reshuffle to calm markets. The reshuffle could be announced in the next few days, and will take place after a key parliamentary vote on a proposed reform of the labour market tomorrow.

According to newspaper El Mundo, Economy Minister Elena Salgado and Labour Minister Celestino Corbacho are the most likely to be replaced. Unconfirmed reports also suggest that former Nato Secretary General and former EU Foreign affairs chief Javier Solana may join the Zapatero government.
