A strike by blue collar workers has forced steel giant ArcelorMittal to bring production to a halt in Algeria. Workers set down tools at the Annaba plant, in the north east of the country, in a protest sparked by wage claims by the 6,200 members of staff, who produce seven thousand tonnes of steel a year.
