The Tunisian government wishes to encourage environmentally-friendly tourism in the Kerkennah Islands, off Sfax. A new modern ferry with 800 seats will soon be available for traveling to the Sfax archipelagos, another tourist area. An airport will be built and the islands internal roads re-modernised.
The Kerkennah archipelagos is one of the country’s most ecological regions.
